According to U.S. federal regulations for telecommunications (CFR Title 47), electrical and electronic products (excluding those exempted from electromagnetic compatibility testing under some regulations) sold in the United States must pass the electromagnetic compatibility testing, and there are three types of FCC approvals, including Verification, Declaration of Conformity (DoC), Certification.
These three types of FCC approvals have different ways and procedures of certification, and the ways of certification for different products are subject to FCC rules. The application for FCC Certification is more demanding than application for FCC DoC, and Verification is the least demanding among these three types of FCC approval. |
