Luminaires V2.0 Specification Final Version Formally Announced
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) formally announced the final revised version of ENERGY STAR Luminaires V2.0 Specification on May 30, 2015 (BJT) and formulated the corresponding implementation schedule after the final seminar held on the early morning of Jun 6, 2015 (BJT).
All lamps are eligible to apply for ENERGY Star certification V2.0 from now on.
Reminder from Standard-Tech to ENERGY STAR clients: Pay attention to the execution time of new standard and the expiry date of old standard so as to maintain the effectiveness of accredited products.

The latest V2.0 was formally announced on Jun 1, 2015 and applied to the luminaires from then on.
Dec 1, 2015
After Dec 1, 2015, V1.2 shall not apply to new luminaires.
Jun 1, 2016
V2.0 shall be enforced one year after its formal announcement, i.e., Jun 1, 2016.

--V2.0 applies to the ENERGY STAR certification for all luminaires.
--All the ENERGY STAR certificates that are applied based on V1.0, V1.2 or other earlier versions will become invalid on Jun 1, 2016.
--The ENERGY STAR certificates that are applied based on the standard other than V2.0 shall expire on Jun 1, 2016.
--The ENERGY STAR certificates without outstanding issues should be resubmitted for new application in accordance with V2.0.
